This morning hundreds of Erdington pupils received their A level results. Jack Dromey, MP for Birmingham Erdington, welcomed the excellent results in the constituency and congratulated all the pupils and staff for the hard work they have shown the last few months.
North Birmingham Academy have come a long way since they established their sixth form in 2009, achieving their highest ever A Level results with 94% of students receiving A*-D. This is a vast improvement from last year’s figure of 54%. Whilst 44% of students were awarded A*-B, a much higher figure than expected.
St Edmund Campion Catholic School, Greenwood Academy and Highclare School have also seen impressive results.
Campion pupils recorded results of 77% at grade C or above.
Highclare received similar results with 75% of pupils achieving A* - C grades.
Greenwood Academy saw 15 pupils receive offers to go university, 5 to apprenticeships and 6 to full time employment.
